Book Review: The Eyes That See by Chris Adonn

Adam Smith, member of The Eyes that See, a centuries old secret Society dedicated to documenting the supernatural in all its forms, has just stumbled across something monumental. He has found proof of balancers.
Fredrick Bradfield, head of the South African division of The Eyes, wants nothing more than to present this find to the elders. Unfortunately, doing so could mean the end of the order, and probably his life.

Jonathan Darcy, chief director of The Eyes, can not afford to let the discovery see the light of day. It could cost him everything he holds dear.

Wolfgang Eriksson, balancer and wickedly devious immortal, holds all the cards in his hands. But what will he do with them?

The Eyes That See is a prequel to Legacy - The Balancer Chronicles.  It's a short story that introduces the readers to the idea of Balancers, nearly immortal beings who keep the balance between supernatural beings and humans in the world.  It does a good job of explaining how the world works and introducing characters.  There isn't really much action in the story, but it's helpful for reading before Legacy, which I will be reviewing next!

I give this story 4 Bookworms.
